Top 5 Braces-Friendly Holiday Foods

Holiday Meal

The holidays are upon us! It’s time to gather with friends and family, enjoy one another’s company… and eat! Of course there are some things you shouldn’t eat with braces, but not to worry—there are plenty of delicious foods you can enjoy. Here are some great ideas for your holiday meals.

Holiday Ham, Roasted Goose and All the Turkey You Can Eat

The centerpiece of most holiday meals is pork or poultry and this year, you won’t be left out. You can enjoy all the turkey, goose, or ham you can handle. Just remember to brush your teeth and clean your braces thoroughly after!

Candied Yams

Sweet and buttery, who doesn’t love candied yams? And all the soft, yummy goodness is no trouble for your braces.

Green Bean Casserole

To add a little green to this post is one of our favorites, green bean casserole. This savory favorite is as easy on the dental work as it is in the kitchen.

Pumpkin Pie

Pecan pie may be out of the question this year, but pumpkin is just fine! Want to mix things up a little? Try this delicious variation on an old favorite: Pumpkin Pie Cheese Cake.

Fruit Cake

Just kidding, you really shouldn’t eat fruit cake with braces—the chewy dried fruit and crunchy nuts are the worst. So why do we mention it? Braces are a great excuse to turn down fruit cake! (Our apologies to those who like fruit cake.)
